The last page
The last day of the year. 2019 totally taught me a lot. But here are the most
important ones I would like to share;
#1: Ever since I entered Uni I’ve became more independent. Well, sort of. I realized how being alone is quite convenient. Unless you're a girl and wants to hang out desperately but there's no one to accompany you and you cannot travel alone haha. You don't need to depend on others, you do your own business.
I made this topic as my Speaker's Corner talk. I appreciate how some of my classmates loved my talk despite a major stage-fright I had that day and nervousness taking over me. I did have rants with my close ones, I wasn't sure if things happened because of me or whatever it was.
And then slowly God showed me why. I mean, you've got to feel relieved right? He knows the best for all of us and there has to be reasons why things aren't going in your way. So just sit back, relax and wait for things to be clear.
Disclaimer: I'm saying being alone is always a great idea but I am thankful too to those who have been with me from time to time. #youknowwhoyouare
#2: I discovered how the most friendliest faces eventually have the not-so-friendly behavior. They could be smiling at you, pretending to be nice but once the tea has been spilled, voila their true colors were shown! And in contrary, those who look the coldest literally have the softest side. Like me. #justkidding
But true story though. I was touched by one simple incident that made me change my perspective towards that person. I often expect the least from a person so that I wouldn't be disappointed easily but instead I'd be super amazed by them. Geddit?
#3: Last but definitely not the least, always remember how maturity is not measured with age! You can have your younger friends being more mature than the older people out there. Sometimes if you don't know what to say, just stay lowkey. If you're too confident with your so-called wise opinions, you might end up embarrassing yourself when they are not. You know what they say, think before you talk. 😉
I hope everyone will have an amazing year ahead. Always remember the good stuff comes after a few hardships. Never use someone else's weakness to drag them down. Cherish yourself more and always, always, ALWAYS flush the toilets after you're done using them. 😆
Love,
Hanan
